about spill

spill is a series of revealing conversations about and within the contemporary art world...

spill happens in unexpected spaces: at a meal, on a walk, in an elevator, on a bus, in the desert...

spill celebrates authenticity, compassion, and fearlessness...

spill is hosted by artist, writer and educator Kim Russo.

Kim was a Public Orientation Educator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles between 1995 and 2002, providing tours and art lectures for both teen and adult audiences. Kim was an arts writer and critic for two Santa Fe newspapers (the New Mexican and The Journal North) from 2008-2009.

Kim taught studio art, and served in administrative roles, at Whittier College, College of Santa Fe, Ringling College of Art and Design, CalArts, and Otis College of Art and Design between 1993 and 2017.

Kim's drawings and paintings are in the collections of the New Mexico Museum of Art, the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, and several private collections.  She has exhibited her work throughout the US and in Ireland.
